Okay, I just got back from the library, and first: I shouldn't have gone, because I am now exhausted and need to lie down (stupid cold). Second: I got SO MANY books. I started piling them into my arms and I got greedy - I wanted all of the books! But I settled for the following (no links to them on Amazon, because I'm too tired): Digging to America by Anne Tyler, The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, The Color Purple by Alice Walker, Sons and Lovers by D.H. Lawrence, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Getting Over Jack Wagner by Elise Juska, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce, The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner and The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway.
I'm never going to get all of those read in one month. But I don't care - I'm just happy to once again have a stack of library books waiting for me. And now I'm going to go lay down in my marginally cooler room and read.

And... how many books can you take from the library at once? Dont they have a maximum? lol. You got like a bazillion! And I'm still excited about the Dark Materials... :) Wait until you read em. They rock. Way better than that Harry Potter kid, and he rocks too! Word has it that a movie is in the works (prolly meaning in like 10 years, but still.)
So sorry you are sick, I, too, am getting over this wretched ill feeling. Hope you don't get the deadly night cramps like I did. As for a book suggestion, Digital Fortress by Dan Brown was a great book for geeks like us. I enjoyed all his books (that I read, Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons and Digital Fortress).
Also, just wanted to let you know that I noticed my blog was not among those listed, but I can't blame you as I don't update it frequently enough. However, I did update it just now, which is why I came to this virtual chat room that no one is ever in, just remnants of their thoughts...
I also wanted to say that I like your pic here, and also that as sick as I was, I still managed to make it to work... Ha. Just kidding, it's not a real job, I just sit here for four hours and read my A+ book. Anyhow, check out the new pics, See you later, Barb
