Getting ready to go

About 20 1/2 hours from now, I will be on my way to Maine. Yay! I'm so excited. We're going to have a lot of fun on our trip.

I've been spending this weekend getting ready to go. I went shopping yesterday and got some new socks and pajama pants (which I really only got because I needed them, not just for the trip), some new sandals (they were for the trip) and I don't know what all else, but I spent a ton of money. I also got some groceries for my nephew for while he's here and of course for the animals so that they have everything they need while I'm gone.

And the best purchase of the day - I got a quart of the juiciest, sweetest, freshest strawberries ever, directly from the farm stand. Yum. I love fresh June strawberries. I refuse to buy the ones from the grocery store, because they are horrible in comparison.

And today I've been cleaning up a storm, and sweating like a madwoman doing it. I've got about half of the house cleaned, and still have the other half to do, and then it will be presentable for my nephew when he comes to watch the critters. I have also started to pack up what I don't need between now and tomorrow morning - by the time I go to bed tonight, all I will have left to do in the morning is all my regular morning stuff to take care of the critters, I'll have to get myself ready to go, and I'll have to pack up my bathroom stuff and my laptop. Everything else will be done.

I can't wait to pull out of that driveway tomorrow morning and hit the road. Woo! If the wireless card that I borrowed from Jamie works in the hotel we're staying in, I'll be posting while we're there, so watch this space - I'll share some of my pictures with you.
