After a really painful Thursday night, and a sore, tired Friday, I'm starting to feel better - I've turned the corner in my recovery, I think. My upper incision is still a little sore, but I can bend and move without as much pain. It's a good feeling. I'm still tiring really easily, though.
I also found out that I'm not quite ready to wear pants with an actual waistband. Today I had to take my car to the shop, so I wore jeans. When I was standing up, they felt fine, but when I sat down - hoo boy! The waistband was poking right into my sorest spot, and hurting like mad. I had to undo my button and just make sure my shirt stayed low enough to cover it. :D I don't think my work pants will bother me that much when I go back to work on Monday, though. Denim just doesn't give much.
Other than the trip to the mechanic (and the subsequent hour sitting there reading a book while I waited for the repair to be finished), I've had a quiet day. I've read, I've watched some episodes from season two of Gilmore Girls, I've petted and taken care of the animals. All in all, it's a pretty nice way to spend a Saturday.
Okay, now I have to kick Zelda off the back of my chair, so I can lean back and read. I'm almost at the end of my book, so it's getting good.
Less noise, more me

Glad you are feeling better Denise as it sounds like you've been through quite a bit since I last checked in at the end of last year.
Happy New Year and hope you will feel back to normal soon.
Thanks Clare! I'm feeling much better. :)
Having vein surgery, too? Haha, just kidding. Hope you are feeling better, though. I get the support hose off on Wednesday for a total of 10 days before surgery Number 2. Having surgery over the holiday season really isn't that bad because of all of the marathons on TV. I've been glued to TLC, Discovery Channel and Animal Planet. Too bad it is back to work tomorrow! I’m going to miss my sweat pants…
Back to work sucks after a long holiday break! :)
I hope you're healing well! Good luck on the next surgery.
