Spring is in the air

It is so freaking gorgeous outside today, it's kind of killing me to be working inside, instead of sitting outside with the dogs or something. I love spring so much! I guess I'd say it's my favorite season now.

I walk outside in the morning, and the air is filled with the sound of birdsong. The sun is shining in my eyes as I drive to work. I don't need the heater in the car on the way home. I can take my jacket off on the way back from lunch, because it's too warm to be wearing it. The daffodils and tulips are sending their leaves through the dirt, and the daffodils even have some tightly closed buds on them, promising flowers soon.

The robins are back. The Canadian geese are back. We have a pair of mourning doves nesting in the tree outside of our dining room window, giving the cats something to watch all day.

It's a good time to be alive, don't you think?

lol They don't drive you nuts though?! We have a set of those somewhere near our house, though not close enough that I can take a picture out my window. Fancy!

PS Spring is awesome but not the part where I'm sick for like 2 months because of it. That part makes it suck.

Aren't the birds great, Deals? I love mourning doves. Their call is just synonymous with central New York for me (because of memories of my grandparents' house).

Hi Sarah! No, they don't drive me nuts. They're in the back of the house, so we don't really hear them at all.

And no, being sick is horrible. That part of spring sucks. :( I hope you get better soon!
