Kitty Picture Time

I should never have scanned those pictures in yesterday - the ones of Bo and Baby, I mean. I'm glad I have them electronically now, but I put one of them on my desktop wallpaper at work, and it's making me miss them so much! Sigh. I guess I need to change the picture to one of J and/or the current dogs.

So, on to happier things - kitten pictures of cats who are actually still alive and living with me at this very moment!

I just love when kittens sleep all jumbled together! It's so cute. The orangish/tan one is Kate and Lucy's brother, who was adopted by someone else.

Sleeping with their stuffed animal buddies! (These pictures are all at the house of the person who had the Mama cat, by the way - I do not own any furniture made out of material this ugly.)

Lucy is such a beautiful cat, and she was an adorable kitten, don't you think?

I look at this picture, and then I think of how freaking HUGE Kate is now, and it amazes me that she was ever this small. Poor fat Kate.

But you can see the signs of impending fathood already - she's bellying up to the milk bar all by herself! :) I kid. I love my Kate, scaredy fat cat that she is.

Zelda in Condo

This morning, while I was getting ready for work, this is where Zelda was hanging out:

Cats!

If Doggy Day made a triumphant return, of course Kitty Day had to do the same! So here we are (with an emphasis on Sable, because apparently I felt like taking a lot of pictures of her recently).

Kate kind of covers the entire arm of this chair, doesn't she?

I don't even really remember taking this picture, but I love it - Gracie and Zelda, sisters snuggled up together.

Sable actually lays in the kitty condo sometimes. I think she's the only one who does.

I love kitty paws. Sable was laying on the chair, her legs stretched out in front of her, so I got a shot of her feet. So cute!

Ginger

I got an e-mail from my brother-in-law this morning, that said he had to put their dog, Ginger, to sleep. She had a tumor growing out of her mouth, so although he didn't say for sure, it must have been cancer. :( Poor Ginger. I'll miss her when I go over there to visit. And I really wish I had a picture of her on my work computer, so that I could share it. She was a beautiful dog.

So. Sorry to start with sad news. But it was the first e-mail I got today, so it was on my mind. I was planning on writing a blog today anyway, though, to apologize for basically taking a week off once holidailies ended. After having to write every day for two months, I kind of didn't want to do it anymore, you know? But I'll work my way back into at least a few entries per week.

And since I missed cat picture day again, and since there is every possibility I'll miss dog picture day tomorrow, I brought my new camera to work with me today, and took some pictures off it that I took over the last week. Not all of the animals are here, but most of them are.

Four of the five cats were on the cat chair together, all cuddled up to be warm while they slept. I love it when the cats do this, so I snapped a picture. (And okay, Sable is on top of the chair, not curled up with the other three, but she's still there, so it counts.) It's too bad Lucy wasn't there, too, although I don't know that she'd have fit, really.

I saw Willow laying next to the heater in this position, and she just looks so beautiful, doesn't she? She can be a pain in the ass with all of her growling and noise, but she's also the sweetest dog around, and just so pretty.

Of course, Rosie is pretty, too, and I caught her laying next to the heater, too. It's a popular spot this time of year.

Right Now

Right now I have a load of clothes in the washer, and another one in the dryer. Right now I'm playing the Sims - A couple just conceived their first child, and her mother just wrote a best selling book about a cat detective. Right now I'm feeling guilty about not posting dog and cat day, so I just went and took some pictures, and I'm going to share them with you.

Right now, Sable and Lucy are sleeping on the cat chair.

Ten minutes ago, Kate was eating her breakfast.

Right now, Bernie is laying on the living room floor.

Right now, Willow is sleeping on the futon.

Right now, Zelda is also sleeping on the futon (although when I took this, she woke up and stretched).

Right now, McDuff is laying on the couch in the mudroom.

Right now, Rosebud is sleeping on the couch in the mudroom.

Right now, Gracie is sleeping in the cupboard upstairs.

Right now I am hitting "publish post," and ending this entry. :)

Pretty Kitties

Wow, I sure do lose all track of time when I'm on vacation. I posted the Happy List a day early this weekend, and I almost forgot it was kitty picture day today! But I remembered, and since I've been having so much fun playing with my new camera, I didn't even have to run around trying to get pictures of them all, because I already had a decent amount to choose from (mostly of Sable, because I love that this camera can capture her so well, even though she's all black).

So, here we go!

Kitty Picture Day, Yay!

It's Tuesday! And it's almost Christmas! But Christmas doesn't really have anything to do with this entry. Except that Zelda is sleeping on Santa's face, but that sounds dirty, so let's just go to the pictures, shall we?

Cat Cuteness Overload

I love when Kate comes out of her house long enough to cuddle with the other cats. And Gracie loves to cuddle with any cat that will allow it.

Gracie always lays with her right leg straight out like that, since she broke it. :( She gets along really well on it, but she must not feel comfortable bending her elbow like she used to.

Kate on the treadmill. If it wouldn't have freaked her right the heck out, I'd love to have turned it on and got her walking on it. She's so fat! Sometimes I think I should give her to someone who would love her, and who could put her on a diet to lose it. Poor fat Kate. She's such a sweetie.

Cats!

It's cat picture day, woo! I love cat picture day. I need to get better about taking pictures during the week, though, and not just on the morning of cat (and dog) picture day. I'd get a wider variety that way.

But I didn't take them during the week for today - I took these all this morning. Which is why there aren't any pictures of Kate, because she hides in her house while I'm getting ready for work - everyone else, though, comes out for loving. So, no more talking from me - it's picture time!

Cats!

I went out to the kitchen to get fresh batteries for the camera. When I turned around, this is what I saw - three cats, all lined up. I'm not sure why, though - they had already gotten their morning treats.

Waiting for Heat


The cats all seem to like to sit in this little corner in the bathroom, hoping for heat to come out of the vet. Zelda was there while it was running this morning - I don't think Gracie got that lucky.

Cats Being Cute

Lucy likes to get into this laundry basket in the morning, for some poop loving of her very own.

It's so hard to get pictures of Sable that I really love. Which is a shame, because she's such a love bug, and so freaking cute.

Gracie is always around wanting loving in the morning. Here she's on the back of the dryer.


Zelda is an attention whore. While I was brushing my teeth, she was rolling around on the floor. :) She's so cute.
