Oops, Happy List, Wayne

Oops! I screwed up the daily posting thing already. Sigh. I remembered last night as I was getting ready to go to bed that I hadn't posted yet, but I had already shut my computer off, and didn't feel like going and turning it back on. Oh well, I'll make it up by doing two posts today.

So, one day late, here is the happy list for last week!

Sunday: Spending the day with J! And it was cheat day, yum. Burgers, fries, cheese sticks, candy bars, Goldfish – all the forbidden foods become okay, for one day only.

Watching Ferris Bueller on DVD made me happy, too. I love 80s teen movies!

Monday: Watching two episodes of Buffy with J made me very happy. I love that show so much! And I love sharing it with him.

Also, snuggling little Sable. She’s the sweetest little black kitty around.

Tuesday: Listening to my music at work in the afternoon.

Spending a few hours with J.

Wednesday: J being home with me in the morning, before we both left for work.

Eating really well, riding the exercise bike and feeling good about myself.

Watching TV with J at night. :)

Thursday: J once again being home in the morning while I was getting ready. I love when he’s home with me in the morning.

Spending the evening with J. Watching Hell’s Kitchen! I love watching that show with J. It’s our fun TV night. ♥

Friday: Losing 1.75 more pounds, woo!

Spending the evening with J. Can you tell I like having him home at night? ♥

Saturday: Playing the Sims! I played Sims of me and J, in a beautiful Victorian house I built for us. It was fun.

Seeing J when he came home from work, and going to get groceries and dinner.

One thing becomes very clear when I read my own happy list - J makes me happy. ♥ Thanks, J. :)


I have a little more to talk about. Yesterday was my step-father's birthday. If he were still here with us, he would be 73. Which seems inconceivable to me, since he died when he was only 56, so he'll never be older than that in my mind. I love you Wayne, I miss you. I may not have said it in here yesterday, but I did think about you.

Happy List, 2/22 - 2/28

Sunday: Spending the day with J. Watching the SU game with him, and just hanging out. Watching the Oscars! I love them. Getting Bernie a new bed, which he seemed to appreciate. Seeing Willow somehow fit herself into Duff’s little bed. :) Too cute.

Monday: I may be just two months away from having a second credit card paid off! I’ll get to see J when I get home, for a few minutes, which I didn’t think I would. :)

Tuesday: Playing the Sims on my laptop. I was going through withdrawal!

Wednesday: Playing my legacy founder on my laptop. She’s fun. :)Seeing J! I miss him when he’s gone so much.

Thursday: Spending the evening with J! Watching Hell’s Kitchen, which I love watching with J. Getting my computer back! Thanks J. :)

Friday: Getting a sweet phone call from J while I was getting ready for work. :) Spending the evening with J – he even makes getting groceries fun. Getting a Willow Pillow! (A bed for Willow, which she loves.) Saying Willow Pillow over and over. Hee.

Saturday: Getting my game all reinstalled on my newly repaired desktop! (Thanks J!) Then getting rid of a piece of custom content that was messing with the Sims’ ability to make phone calls. Sigh. Why it couldn’t just be easy to put my game back together I don’t know, but I’m really glad to have it back. Watching the new Futurama movie with J at night before falling into bed like I hadn't slept in weeks, I was so tired.

Happy List, 2/15 - 2/21

It's been a while since I've posted my weekly list of things that made me happy. I've also slacked on the dog and cat picture days, and on my Oscar winning movie entries (I owe one or two) and my Pulitzer Prize winning novel entries (I owe one). So, to start getting back on track, here is a list of the things that made me happy this last week!

Sunday: Spending the day with J. Going to see Taken and getting Chinese food for dinner! That makes any day great, really, all by itself. Bernie Day!

Monday: Seeing my Bernie Day pictures again when people commented. I love that dog, and am so happy I adopted him three years ago. Playing and laughing with J at night. So much fun, and he makes me so happy.

Tuesday: Watching TV, reading, petting critters. Feeling J come to bed when he got home from work in the middle of the night.

Wednesday: Spending a quiet evening watching TV and movies and knitting.

Thursday: Seeing J when he got home!! Watching Hell’s Kitchen with him. :)

Friday: Seeing J in the morning before I went to work. Cupcakes!

Saturday: J finally coming home! A nice evening with him before bedtime. Goldfish! Gertrude Hawk caramel smidgens from his father!

Happy List, 12/28 - 1/3

The first happy list of the New Year! Here's some of what made me happy this last week.

Sunday: A J and D Sunday, with football, McDonald’s for lunch, some Sims time, and lots of together time. :)

Monday: Vacation Monday, woo! With lots of Sims, eating way too much and watching lots of Gilmore Girls episodes.

Tuesday: Finding out that my roof repair really may be cheap, and it may even not need to be done until it gets warmer. Woo!

Wednesday: J being there to hug me and hold my hand when I came out of the recovery room. My niece calling and leaving a message on my machine to see if I’m all right and to tell me she and the family are thinking of me. :)

Thursday: Spending the day with J. Laying in bed watching movies while I rested my belly (which was hurting quite a bit by the evening). Watching J laugh at Step–Brothers. :)

Friday: Feeling a bit better by the afternoon. Watching lots of Gilmore Girls and knitting.

Saturday: J finally coming home to me! I missed him.

Happy List, 12/21 - 12/27

Christmas week was a good one for me. Here's what made me happy over the last seven days.

Sunday: Watching DVDs and TV most of the day, while knitting (although the knitting took too long). Seeing J when he was finally able to get home from work. Woo!

Monday: Christmas party at work! Gifts and food, including lots of cookies, yum. Wrapping J’s presents. Spending a good couple of hours with him when he got out of work.

Tuesday: Seeing almost all of my sister’s family at a Christmas get together. It was so nice to see them all, I loved every minute of it. I’ve missed them.

Wednesday: Last day of work before Christmas break! Spending Christmas Eve night with J. :)

Thursday: An absolutely fabulous day with J and his family. I got a new camera! But mostly I just loved spending the holiday with the man I love, and with his family.

Friday: Another day with J, before he had to go back to work. It was mostly a quiet day, but we managed to have some great together time.

Saturday: Seeing my great–niece eat her first birthday cake, and open her presents. Seeing my sister and her husband, plus most of their kids and my great–nieces and –nephews.

Happy List, 12/14-12/20

I'm knitting my fingers to the bone today, getting a scarf finished for the person whose name I drew in our Secret Santa thing at work. Here's a tip, from me to you - don't leave things to the last minute. Oy.

Anyway, here are the things that made me happy this last week.

Sunday: Another really enjoyable Sunday with J. Went to a late lunch/early dinner with his family to celebrate his Mom’s birthday, which was fun. Relaxed and watched a movie at night on my laptop, while J sat on the futon and watched his shows and football. It was a very relaxing, enjoyable Sunday night.

Monday: Having a great night with J. We watched Christmas DVDs, and laughed and just enjoyed the evening watching TV together. :)

Tuesday: Bleh. I was in a mood. But we watched two episodes of Sarah Connor, which was nice.

Wednesday: I got a very cute calendar from my secret Santa at work! Getting my shopping done. :) Spending the evening with J, while making cookies.

Thursday: Mushy J. :)

Friday: Playing the Sims on my laptop! Getting home safely on a very snowy day. Sable purring in my ear.

Saturday: Taking pictures of the dogs outside in the snow. Having a snow fight with J when he got home. :) Watching the end of the SU basketball game with J, and spending a few good hours with him before he went to sleep.

Happy List, 12/7-12/13

Here's some of what made me happy this week.

Sunday: I had a GREAT day with J. We went to see Quantum of Solace, and we decorated the trees, and I made sugar cookies, and we just had a lot of great time together. And woo, decorated trees!

Monday: Watching The Hulk, woo! And just having a great night with J.

Tuesday: Having a very peaceful night. Dinner with J – at the table, even! We never eat there. Then reading and watching Bones online, all while making homemade bread! Which came out perfectly, so my bread curse is officially lifted. Woo!

Wednesday: Playing the Sims, and finally getting to play the main family kids in college! It was fun. Gracie laying on my chest and purring while I petted her. Awww. :)

Thursday: Yesterday’s blog post was a best of holidailies pick! Woo! Playing the Sims and watching TV at night, and of course petting the dogs and cats at the same time.

Friday: Holding Gracie at night, as she purred on my chest. Watching Frosty with J, who was sick in bed (he has a nasty cold).

Saturday: Some good Sims time, and some good J time when he got home from work. Getting half of the car work done that it needs to pass inspection - and the rest should cost just a hair more than I had set aside for it, so while I was hoping for less, at least it wasn't a lot more, so I'm satisfied. Finding a new diner to go to in the area of my mechanic's. :)

Happy List, 11/30-12/6

Here's this week's happy list! These are some of the things that made me smile and made me happy this last week.

Sunday: Spending Sunday evening with J, woo! Getting our tree up, and the lights on – the decorations will be added soon.

Monday: Spending a great evening with J. :) Having an appointment to get something personal scheduled, which I really want done.

Tuesday: Getting my date for the above thing (sorry for the cryptic). Relaxing and watching House at night, and reading a book during commercials (March, my next Pulitzer Prize winning book).

Wednesdsay: One of my credit cards will be paid off in just three months! Woo!

Thursday: I figured out more plot for the future of my Sims legacy! I’m very excited about it. J came home to me, even though he had to leave 2 hours later to go back to work. Aww. :) Spending two hours with him, eating a nice dinner and then just hugging and watching TV together. Also, Michelle called to thank me for the blanket I made for her daughter. :) I didn’t even hear the phone, because we were watching TV in the bedroom, but I appreciated the call a lot. I don’t think anyone has ever called to thank me for something I’ve made for them before!

Friday: I found some great Sims 2 downloads online, woo! A nice evening with J.

Saturday: Getting a bit of Sims time in. Sable on my shoulder, purring into my ear.

Happy List, 11/23-11/29

Sunday: Stepping on the scale and seeing I had lost 4 pounds since Friday, woo! Watching two movies – Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and Grand Hotel. Starting to read "The Brief, Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao" (the first of 10 Pulitzer Prize winning novels I’m reading for my 101 list). Knitting a little bit on my sweater sleeve. Seeing J when he got home from work.

Monday: Getting on the scale and seeing I have now lost 4.5 pounds since Friday. Woo! Finding out that J’s father offered to come pick me up for Thanksgiving dinner, since J is going to be at work in the morning. Aww! I got day six of the bachelor challenge written and online, woo! It is now finished, and I can get back to finishing up everything else so that I can move on to my other legacy. Also, J and I had a GREAT evening together, which made me very, very happy.

Tuesday: Getting quite a bit done in the Sims. :) Seeing dog tracks in the snow on the porch (even though I hated that the snow was even there).

Wednesday: Getting out of the garage through J’s door, when mine wouldn’t open. I have skills! My long weekend started at 4:15! J coming home. :) I miss him when he’s gone.

Thursday: Spending four hours with Jim and his family for Thanksgiving. Playing the Sims in the morning, and finishing some goals that I had there.

Friday: Spending the whole day with J! Once he got up, but he was up way earlier than I would have expected, so I got a whole long day with him. I’ve been missing him like crazy, so it felt really good to get that much time together. Starting to put up our Christmas decorations! I think I’m going to love Christmas this year – I’m in just the right mood for it, even if I am broke. :)

Saturday: Putting up more decorations! Baking sugar cookies! Eating sugar cookies! Playing a little Sims while J napped!

Happy List, 11/16-11/22

Happy list!

Sunday: Taking Bernie and Duff with me to town to get McDonald’s for me and J for lunch. When I came out with the bags of food, they were making friends with an old lady who parked next to me. She said she liked my friends. :) They’re such good boys. Also getting to spend most of the day with J, after he got up and before he went to work. I’m not getting to see him much because of his work, so I’m really enjoying the time I get to spend with him.

Monday: Books! I got three books from the library, and then came home to find a new Stephen King book (a book of short stories) waiting for me. Woo! Also, J came home to me! So I got to spend the evening with him, and he was nice enough to watch the Buffy musical with me, even though he hates musicals. I love that episode, though.

Tuesday: Getting day three of the bachelor challenge online. Getting to spend the evening with J.

Wednesday: Getting a very nice e-mail from J half an hour after I got to work. :) Getting day five of Aaron’s BC online. Jim bringing me a dessert treat, because he knew I couldn’t have any of the cake at work.

Thursday: Watching Thursday night TV! Playing a house in my PGT Sims neighborhood – I’ve missed those Sims. Seeing J after he came home from work.

Friday: Spending the evening with J.

Saturday: Getting day 5 of the bachelor challenge online. Getting some good pictures for the next cat and dog picture days. Spending the evening with J.

Happy List, 11/9-11/15

Happy list, woo! Here's what made me laugh, smile or just made me happy over the last week.

Sunday: My day with J. :) I love our Sundays together (do I say that every week? Something tells me I do). Watching Bender’s Game and then On the Waterfront on DVD with J and all of the doggies.

Monday: Watching another Buffy with J! Having a great dinner with him (salmon, mashed cheesey potatoes and a small salad), and just spending the evening with him. Also, getting a project done at work – at least a first draft (but just that took me all day).

Tuesday: I wrote up day one of the bachelor challenge! (It’s a Sims thing.) I also got some very exciting personal news. And I edited a paper, earning myself $50, which will help with my car repair expenses, so woo!

Wednesday: Seeing a horse kick its back feet out and then run, all frisky like, when I was driving home. Writing day two of my bachelor challenge. Watching the best picture winner from 1929! Seriously old stuff there. Finally getting referrals for the other two doctors I have to see soon.

Thursday: J came home from work finally! I missed him like crazy, and was very happy to see him. Also, I tried a new fried chicken recipe, and I loved it!

Friday: Looking forward to the weekend always makes me happy. :) Also, I saw a basset hound puppy! It was 12 weeks old, and so freaking cute! I kind of want a puppy now. Someday, when we're in the market for a new dog. Which is not now, because four is definitely enough. Enough! No matter how cute puppies are.

Saturday: J came home for a while in the evening, even though he wasn't originally going to. I was very happy to see him. Also, making myself get up and take the recycling to the dump and go to the store to get the cat stuff made me happy, as did playing the Sims and reading. I've been getting into Persuasion by Jane Austen, and I'm liking it a lot.

Okay, now I'm going to go add a weekly reminder to my work calendar, so I'll remember to send this to my home e-mail address on Friday afternoons, and can always post it on Sunday. Later, gators.

Happy List, 10/26-11/1

It's 6:41 on a Sunday morning. Why am I up? I have no idea, but I am, so I might as well post my happy list, right? Here goes.

Sunday: Spending a great day with J. We went out to a late breakfast at our favorite diner, the Dolphins won their game, and J and I went on a road trip! We went to the Alice Cooper show in Schenectady. I loved taking the trip with him - the first semi-real road trip we've ever taken (I only say semi-real because we only went about an hour and a half away, and we didn't stay overnight or anything). We have a ton of fun together, and he made my whole day a very happy one.

Monday: Seeing two horses running around, chasing each other in a field on the way home. So cute. Hanging out with J at night and having a great dinner - filet mignon, mashed potatoes and homemade bread, yum. Kate coming out of her house and letting J pet her (and me, but that part isn't unusual). It was nice, and it made me very happy.

Tuesday: Getting a great night of sleep, and waking up nicely rested. Spending the night in the Sims, getting two families through the fall rotation. Hearing J talk about the Alice Cooper concert when he came home. Yes, he went to two in one week - he's a huge fan. He had much better seats for this one, too, and sounded like he had a ton of fun.

Wednesday: One of my Sims got abducted by aliens! Which means nothing to non-Simmers, but I've been playing this game for years, and this is only the third natural (non-cheated) abduction I've ever had, so it made me very happy. Even if it was a girl, who couldn't give me an alien baby. Also, J came home! He wasn't going to originally, because of work, but his work hours changed, so he was able to. He didn't get home until about Midnight, so I woke up long enough to smile at him while my eyes were scrunched up with sleep, but at least I got to see him.

Thursday: I got to see J for about an hour before bedtime! Woo! He's been working a lot of later hours, so this was a real treat, and made me very happy. Also, having J and Sarah to talk to (online) when I got my feelings hurt. They made me feel much better, just for listening to me and commiserating.

Friday: It's doggy picture day! Which always makes me happy. I love taking and posting the pictures for these days. Also, it's Halloween! Some people at work dressed up, which is cute. I want to dress up next year.

Saturday: I got new tires on my car, which made me happy, even if finding out all the other work it needs didn't. I had fun playing the Sims - I'm doing a bachelor challenge, and played through about half of it. It was fun. Also, J got home early enough for us to hang out together, and to go shopping for groceries. I enjoy spending time with him.

Happy Things, 10/19-10/25

My list of things that made me happy this week.

Sunday: J looking at me while I was visiting him outside, where he was working, and telling me how beautiful I was. I'm so glad he thinks so - it makes me feel really nice inside. Getting almost to the armhole on the back of my sweater! It makes me very happy that I'm figuring this knitting thing out, finally, after years of wanting to.

Monday: Uh - I forgot to update this list on Tuesday, and by Wednesday? I couldn't really remember anything specific that made me happy on Monday. I'm sure there was something, but it's lost in time, now. Sigh.

Tuesday: I had a great night with J, celebrating the anniversary of our first date by just being together. I'm so happy to have him in my life.

Wednesday: I had a nice, albeit quiet (J was at work) night at home, playing the Sims and doing some housework. I got my Sims through a year of college, which was fun.

Thursday: Watching new TV shows (Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy) while downloading custom content for the Sims and knitting. Also, being with J, who I had missed the night before while he was at work.

Friday: Faaaaaaaaaaaart. :) This is a private joke that only J and I will understand and find funny, but it made me laugh for a solid three or four minutes, and numerous times over the weekend whenever I would think about it.

Saturday: I finished the back of my sweater! Woo! I started one of the sleeves to do next. I'm so looking forward to getting this thing done and sewn together, so I can see how it came out. Also, Gracie cuddling with me, plus playing the Sims and doing housework all day, while it poured down rain outside.

Happy List, October 13 - 18, 2008

Woo, an on time happy list! Amazing, right? I've added pictures again, for your enjoyment. I took these in my yard on Saturday.

Monday: Spending the day with J, woo! I love when we have week days off together. We watched a couple of movies, and I went and got us subs for dinner. It was a very nice day.

Tuesday: Celebrating our first date anniversary with J - two years! We celebrated a week early, because we both had the day off. We went to dinner at very nice Italian restaurant that we've been to a couple of times before. I'm very happy that we're in each other's lives.

Wednesday: I got to the 9" mark on the back of my sweater and did my first ever increases - successfully! It's a small thing, but I was happy about it.

Thursday: Waking up with J, and cuddling together before getting up to get ready for work. It was very nice. :) I got some good quality Sims time in at night, too, which is always fun.

Friday: Getting paid, and getting my bills paid. It feels so good to get them paid every week.

Saturday: Getting an e-mail from J's Dad. He saw that a movie we had talked about back in July was on (12 Angry Men), and he wanted to let me know in case I wanted to see it. I just thought it was nice that he thought about me - I'm glad that my future in-laws like me. :)

Happy List for 10/5 - 10/11

You may have guessed that I forgot to e-mail my Happy List to myself before I left work on Friday. What you may not have guessed is that I had a four day weekend, so this week's Happy List is incredibly late! But here it is. And to punch it up for you, I added some pictures of the campus where I work, all dressed up in fall colors. I was walking across campus this morning, camera in my hand, and just had to keep stopping and taking pictures. Pretty, right? I thought so.

Anyway, on to the list.

Sunday: The Dolphins won again! Which makes J happy, which makes me happy. Also, we got Chinese food for dinner! I love that, and we don't get it often, so it's a special treat when we do. I also played the Sims some, and finished Schuyler's Monster, which was very good. I love Sundays.

Monday: I won a gift certificate for dinner for two at a steakhouse! I paid a dollar to enter this raffle, mostly because I wanted change for a five, and it totally paid off! And I never win anything, so this was a very nice surprise. Also, that evening J and I laid in bed and watched the Peanuts Halloween special, which I love. Poor Linus never gets to see The Great Pumpkin, but he still keeps his faith!

Tuesday: Um. Tuesday was apparently a not great day. I couldn't think of any happy things. :(

Wednesday: My freezer got fixed! Also J brought me the most beautiful roses. I love roses so much, and have enjoyed looking at them the whole week since.

Thursday: Hearing (and chair dancing to) You Don't Mess Around with Jim by Jim Croce. Such a fun song! Wandering around the house and yard, taking pictures of the animals for my first critter picture post. It was a beautiful day, and a fun thing to do. And they didn't mind being stalked. :)

Friday: Finding out that my gift certificate (see Monday's Happy Things) is going to be delivered next week. Woo! Also, the end of the work day brought the beginning of my four day weekend!

Saturday: I had a very productive day, with just the right mix of getting things done around the house and having time to do fun things. I made doughnuts for the first time! I played the Sims, I read, I knitted, I did housework, I took the recycling to the dump. It was a nice day.

Sunday: I got to spend the morning with J, even though I didn't think I was going to get to see him at all (his work schedule changed). At one point that morning I got on the floor to take a picture of Bernie, and J came over and started wrestling with me, and I was laughing so hard I was crying AND I couldn't breathe. It was amazingly fun. He's a fun guy to have around, and I am very lucky to have laughs like that, when not too long ago I'd go a whole weekend without even seeing another person. I am grateful for him every day of our lives together.

Edit: Uh, I accidentally posted 8 days of happy things. I don't want to remove the last Sunday entry now, so have a bonus day of happy things, on me! :) Next week you'll only get six, so it'll all balance out.

Happy List, 9/28 - 10/4

Here are the things that made me happy this week.

Sunday: J coming home a little earlier than he thought he would, meaning I actually got to see him for a couple of hours while I was still awake. That was a very good thing, because I was missing him like crazy.

Monday: I have a visual for this one. Please see below.

Mmmmm. :)

Tuesday: My Sims computer is fixed, and for only $40! Woo! Also, laying in bed with J and watching TV, while recovering from donating blood after not getting much sleep the night before.

Wednesday: My oven is fixed! And I have my computer back! Also, watching Sable as she hid around the bookcase from Zelda, and then pounced on her when Zelda came into view. Sable makes me laugh so much.

Thursday: J hugging me and consoling me when I was so tired that I was crying, after another night of insomnia.

Friday: Finding out some very good news from my health insurance company. Talking this news over with J, and deciding to do something I've wanted to do for a while. (Sorry for the cryptic, but it's a personal thing - and one of the personal things on my 101 list, as a matter of fact, so I'll be able to mark it off soon.)

Saturday: Finding out that Rosebud's puffiness was just an allergic reaction to a bug bite or something, and that she wouldn't even need medication. Seeing her back to normal by the time J got home from work in the middle of the night. Also, relaxing and watching TV and playing the Sims. Ooh, and making macaroni and cheese for dinner.

Happy Things

I forgot to e-mail my list to myself again on Friday, so I'm posting these a day late. But I'm still PMSing in a huge way (I'm ready to cry this morning if anyone says anything wrong to me, even though I have absolutely no reason to cry - hormones suck butt), so I'm really doing well just getting them posted at all.

Sometimes being a woman really sucks.

Okay, on to happier things from the last week.

Sunday: I had a really nice day at home with J, playing Sims, knitting and watching TV. Also, the Dolphins won, which made him happy, so it makes me happy.

Monday: J and I got home at the same time, which I don't think has ever happened before. It was nice. Getting an hour to Sim, and spending it playing an orphan family. It is a fun challenge, and everyone survived, woo!

Tuesday: Sitting in the living room at night, all the animals being quiet, the TV not on, with Sable sitting on my shoulder, purring and rubbing her head into my jaw. She's so sweet. It was a very peaceful moment.

Wednesday: I got Molly, my humidifier, in the mail! Also, watching J sleep for a few minutes, after I gave him a nice massage. It was very sweet.

Thursday: Sitting on the futon with Willow, watching TV and crocheting. And of course, J. He makes me laugh.

Friday: Starting the day in J's arms, not wanting to get out of bed. Ending the day in J's arms, not having to get out of bed.

Saturday: Starting the day with chocolate milk and a Kit-Kat. Mmm. Getting some great hugs and kisses from Willow when the oven wasn’t working, and my brownies were trapped in a half-baked state inside.

Happy Things, Week 3

Look at me, remembering to do this two weeks in a row! Here are the things that made me happy this week.

Sunday: J coming home to me, after being at work since Saturday morning. We spent a great afternoon together, before he went to sleep.

Monday: I used all of my letters TWICE in Scrabble with Sarah. I had dinner with my sister and her family - I hadn't seen her in a long time, so it was very nice. I also got all of my playing done for my next update in my Sims story.

Tuesday: Relaxing with J at night and just watching TV until bedtime. Also, Willow was being very snuggly and happy (mostly because her enemy, Rosebud, was in the mudroom).

Wednesday: I got a good night's sleep (after getting a horrible one the night before). I got part one of my Sims update done, and started setting up for my other legacy.

Thursday: Having some time with my poor, tired J. Working on the second mesh stitch section of my scarf, and having it come out right! Maybe I will be able to make myself a sweater soon after all! (After I finish the baby blanket, that is. I won't let myself start a sweater until I do.)

Friday: Writing part 2 of my Sims legacy update, while watching TV with J.

Saturday: Lying in bed with J, watching Raging Bull. It was a good movie, with great acting by DeNiro, and I love watching movies with J. Sarah bringing me chocolate! Which was partly mean, but I'll love it when I can eat it on Saturday of next week. :)

Happy Things 2

As promised, here is my list of things that made me happy over the last week.

Sunday, 9/7: Opening day of football season. And okay, I don't really care about football at all, but J was home, and he was excited that he got to watch his Dolphins play (they don't air the Dolphins games much in our area), and we had ourselves a regular football party/junk food day. I automatically love any day that includes extra sharp cheddar cheese and crackers. Mmmm. Oh, and Hint of Lime Tostitos. I could eat those all day (and I think I did).

Monday, 9/8: Watching The Sarah Connor Chronicles with J. Getting on the floor and laying with Bernie, my head on his side. (I had a nasty headache that evening, so it was nice to just relax and do nothing much.)

Tuesday, 9/9: J calling me at work. :) I still love when he does that. Also, J pulling into the driveway when he got home from work, honking the horn to let me know he was home.

Wednesday, 9/10: Gracie was walking out of the bathroom in the morning (while I was in there getting ready for work). Sable was hiding outside of the door, under the china closet. When Gracie reached the doorway, Sable pounced on her! It made me laugh.

Thursday, 9/11: Seeing J's big smile and getting a big hug when he first got up (while I was getting ready for work). There's no better way to start the day.

Friday, 9/12: Unexpectedly having J home with me that night (he was originally supposed to be at work, but his schedule changed).

Saturday, 9/13: Gracie laying on my chest, oh so content and happy as I petted her. She's so pretty and sweet (they all are). That was a very nice, peaceful moment in a day that I kind of walked through asleep, because I didn't get enough sleep the night before. Also, I played a lot of Sims, which always makes me happy. I love to feed my addiction. Oh, and of course I knitted some, too. My scarf is getting long enough to actually look like a scarf now! Woo!

Happy List 1

One of my 101 things was to write down one thing every day that made me smile, or made me happy, on that day. For some reason I've been horrible at remembering to do this. I've flossed my teeth almost every night since I made this list, but I forget to write down one thing that made me happy. I have no idea why.

Anyway, I remembered to do it enough this week that I have almost a full week's worth to write down - six whole things out of seven! Not bad, right? Part of this deal is that I'm supposed to blog my list every Saturday, so here goes.

Monday, August 25, 2008: Having my hours at the stupid Fair changed so that I would be home at a semi-decent hour - 6:30 or so, instead of 8:30 or so.

Tuesday, August 26, 2008: I didn't have to work at the Fair!

Wednesday, August 27, 2008: My long weekend was approved! I'll have Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday off, and the best part is that I will get to spend the last two days with J. :)

Thursday, August 28, 2008: Going with J to pick up his new (to him) truck! He's been wanting a truck, so I'm so happy he found one that has everything he wants.

Friday, August 29, 2008: UPS brought me Apartment Life, the newest expansion pack for the Sims! I loaded it on my computer, and it's playing fine, and I love it!

Saturday, August 30, 2008: It feels too early to write today's, because my day is only half over, and J isn't even home yet (he's very often the best part of my weekends). So I'm changing it so that I blog about my lists on Saturdays, and those lists will cover the previous Saturday - Friday.
