Good Day

Day two of a three day week is almost over! I love holiday weeks. I'm having a good day at work, too. I found out yesterday that we had been given the green light to go ahead with a work blog, aimed at the students and faculty (mostly students) of the college where I work, and I'm very excited about that. I don't know why - it just seems kind of fun to get paid to write a blog. The page is all set up, and it looks just like a page of our school web site, and it's very cool. I think I'll be writing in it either tomorrow or Monday. Neat!

So, our holiday plans are all made. Tomorrow night J and I are going to go to my sister's house for dinner - not a holiday dinner, just an informal get together. That way we'll get a chance to see my niece, who is coming in from school, and my nephew and his wife and son, who are coming in as well. (Hi Michelle!) I'm glad we're going to get to see everyone. Even if my sister IS making her famous macaroni and cheese, with regular milk and butter, so I won't be able to eat it because of my lactose intolerance. *Insert loud pained sigh here.* But the food isn't the important thing, of course. It's seeing everyone. And maybe she'll surprise me and make me a little bit with Lactaid milk and margarine. Maybe. We'll see. She's good to me, so she'll take care of me one way or the other.

And then on Thursdsay afternoon we're going to go to J's parents' house for the actual Thanksgiving Day dinner. And he e-mailed his sister (who is cooking) about my lactose thing, and she was already on top of it, getting Lactaid for the potatoes, so that I can eat them. That rocks. People are too good to me. I look forward to hanging out with his family for the afternoon - I like them.

And I'm REALLY looking forward to the long weekend. We'll be hanging up Christmas decorations starting Thursday afternoon, I think, and I'll be hanging out and playing my Sims and working on the baby blanket I'm making for my soon-to-be-born great-niece. I need to get that thing done before the baby is born. (Oh, and Michelle? When is your next little one due again? And do you want a blanket for him or her? :) If so, we can decide on colors when you get closer, if you want.)

And now I'm done writing, I think. So. Bye!

Hi Michelle!

Okay, plenty of time is a GOOD thing. I have wrist issues which mean I can only do a few rows at a time, so long deadlines are good. :) And I think I want to make a doily for Donna for Christmas, too, since I'm not going to be able to buy her much, and I'm going to make a scarf for J - so many projects! :) But they're all small projects, so I have a shot of finishing them all, I think!

See you guys tomorrow! (Which reminds me - I better call Donna to tell her we're coming, lol.)

Do I have to be pregnant or related to get something? :pout:

:) Just picking. Hope you have some kind of lactose free goodness waiting for you at your sisters house!
