Saturday Evening Post

I had a quiet day today. J had to work overnight, and then had to work again this afternoon (yes, his job is a prize), so I was alone all day with the critters. We had a good day, though. Willow, Bernie and I went to the dump to get rid of all of the recycling that has piled up over the last three weeks. When we got back, I moved the lawn mower and actually parked in the garage for the first time in, I don't know, three years? Two years? I'm not sure. Thank you, J, for cleaning it out so that we can park in there. It's actually very nice to see cars in the garage again.

Although I'm going to have to do some serious practicing at backing up into the space in the garage - I suck at it! It took me a few tries to get it right, and I was SO glad no one was here to see (and laugh) at me. I always did suck at backing up. And it's weird, because I can back into a parking spot in a lot with no problem, but give me the length of a driveway and the side walls of a garage space, and I have all kinds of problems. Sigh.

Anyway, so I spent the rest of the day playing the Sims, taking breaks every once in a while to vacuum the floors, do a couple loads of laundry, strip and make the bed, wash the dishes, and put a clean cover on the futon. So not a bad day, really. I got some things accomplished.

And now I'm watching some of the backed up episodes of General Hospital that have been sitting on my DVR, trying to catch up (I'm just over a week behind now), and waiting for J to get off work and come home. We're going to watch the rest of Borat - we started it a few nights ago, but only got halfway through - and probably eat some microwave kettle corn (yum). It's going to be a nice evening. And while I wait, I am, of course, not only watching GH, but also Simming. :) God, I love that game.
