Another List for You

The theme for the Nablopomo posting every day thing last month was lists. This month it's letters. I seem to be doing last month's theme, without even meaning to. Hee.

Here, because I couldn't think of anything good to write today, is a list of things I'd rather be doing right now (instead of sitting at work doing my job and watching the clock, waiting for 4:30):

1. Watching a movie with J.

2. Petting one of the dogs, and/or holding a cat on my lap, maybe while a second cat hangs out on my shoulder (which Sable likes to do).

3. Reading my book (still Duma Key by Stephen King).

4. Playing the Sims 2.

5. Talking to J on the phone.

6. Sitting on a rocky coast in Maine, watching the waves come in and go out.

7. Riding the Loch Ness Monster (roller coaster) at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia. It's the first one I ever rode, and will therefore always be my sentimental favorite.

8. Sitting outside with the dogs, reading my book, while the birds chirp and sing and spring starts showing its colors to the world.

9. Watching Buffy. (Oh, and did you know Giles was in Sweeney Todd for about 30 seconds? Because he totally was. And I was zoning out when he came on screen, so I didn't notice him, and J thought I didn't recognize him, and teased me about it. But really, I just wasn't paying attention. Once I tuned back in, I knew who he was immediately!)

10. Watching Firefly again. I miss that show.

11. Taking a day trip with J somewhere.

12. Mowing the lawn. The lawn hasn't started growing again yet, but I kind of miss doing it. By the time I've had to do it for a few weeks in a row, though, I'll be sick and tired of it. But right now, it sounds fun, to ride along and look at the pretty scenery around my house and watch for moles in the grass and birds flying around me.

13. Sitting quietly on the futon watching a good show on TV while I work on the baby blanket I'm making.

14. Petting a puppy or a kitten. J got to pet a baby Westie yesterday (a baby McDuff). I'm kind of jealous.

15. Spending my Borders gift card, finally.

Reading over that list, I seem to be starved for nature and good weather (not exactly a surprise, at this time of year, after a long, cold winter). And I love to watch TV, read, play the Sims 2 and hang out with J. The former, I didn't realize. The latter is always true. :)
