Friday Rambling

For some reason, I am just exhausted today. I got to sleep a little bit later than normal (but not much) and got up half an hour earlier, but it doesn't seem like that was enough of a difference to make me this tired. Yawn. I just got a Diet Pepsi on the way back from lunch. Hopefully that will wake me up.

So I saw J off on his trip this morning. He and his brother are off to watch hockey. I hope they have fun. I'll miss him while he's gone, but at least I'll have the animals to keep me company. I'm sure I won't have much time while he's gone where I won't be petting someone or letting the dogs out or feeding them or filling water dishes or scooping litter. Or doing the dishes or vacuuming or taking the recycling to the dump. Wait! This getting left home alone thing isn't all that great, huh? LOL. Oh well. I'll survive, and he'll be home on Sunday. And despite all the work of taking care of the animals and doing some housework, I'll still get lots of time to loaf, and that's really all I require out of a weekend.

Two weeks from today Gracie gets her cast off! I'm very excited. Oh wait, I should say two weeks from today, she goes back and gets an x-ray to MAYBE get her cast off. I don't want to jinx myself here. Still, I have good reason to believe that she will be cast free in two weeks, and then she'll be free to run around the house again. Woo! I just hope she's happy about that. Last night I was holding her, and I hadn't turned the space heater on yet, so I got up and did that, and I put her on the floor in front of me and held on to her. Well, I had to wait for the wick in the heater to light, and she ran off. It lit, I ran after her, and she just went into the mudroom and stood in front of her crate. So I opened the door and let her in. Silly cat. She could have been free (well, on my lap, anyway) for at least a little while longer. Oh well. Like I said, two more weeks.

Okay, I seem to be out of things to say. My exhausted brain hasn't been charged up by the caffeine in my soda yet. So I'll sign off here. Talk at you again tomorrow!
