There Will Be Milkshakes

J and I watched There Will Be Blood today. The movie was disappointing - long and boring. Daniel Day Lewis was great in it, but the movie itself - blah. There was, however one scene that we both loved. Here is our favorite part (if I can get the code to embed this to work correctly), featuring a line that J will be saying over and over from now on:

"I drink your milkshake!" :D

LOL!!!

I never saw the movie for exactly the same reasons you mentioned. I thought it looked boring.

I saw it, but only because I somehow saw all the BEST PICTURE films this year (completely by accident. I just realized about a week before the Oscars that I had seen all but one of the movies. So, on principle, I saw MICHAEL CLAYTON. Mainly, just so I could say I saw them all). Anyway, what was I talking about? Oh, yeah. THERE WILL BE BLOOD…

I thought it was beautifully filmed, but deeply disturbing. The religious angle was something I wasn’t expecting at all. Talk about creepy. And the scene in the bowling alley room was…well, wow.

My favorite movie this season was NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. Have you seen it? If so, remember that scene with the pitbull chasing the guy into the river and then downstream? Apparently, the guy had the dog’s squeaky toy in his pocket and the dog was really chasing his toy (not the guy). I love behind-the-scenes stuff like that. Especially since the dog looked so super-aggressive and all. He just wanted to play! He was a good dog “playing” a bad dog. Hehe!
