Three Day Weekend

I decided at the last minute (well, yesterday) to take today off, because J had the day off, and because of his schedule I won't be seeing him much at all for the rest of the weekend. So today I got to sleep in and watch some TV and play a little bit of Sims and hang out with J. It was nice.

My brother-in-law came over this afternoon, with my nephew, and finally moved the wood-burning furnace that he's been storing in my garage, so that I can park in there again. J cleaned out the entire garage over the summer - it looks amazing in there - but only one car could go in there because of this furnace. Well, now (as soon as I move my riding lawn mower) I'll be able to park in there again! It's very exciting. Sort of. Or at least I'll think so the next morning that there's a frost and I don't have to warm up my car to clear the windows before I can go to work (a process that made me 10 minutes late for work on Monday, because the first frost of the season caught me off guard).

And later in the afternoon, when we finally got dressed, J and I went to Walmart and got groceries, and then we got Chinese food for dinner. Yum! I love it.

Oh, and J took all of the Halloween decorations down this morning. It looks all sad and bare here now. He put up some Thanksgiving decorations, but there aren't nearly as many of those, so it's not the same. The porch actually looks bare, without the skeletons hanging from nooses on it! :)

And now I'm off to play some Sims and watch last night's Smallville while J sleeps, because he has to be at work at 2 in the morning. Happy Friday evening!
