Interesting Monday

I had a very interesting afternoon at work. Well, the work itself wasn't really interesting - just the normal stuff. But I went to the offices next door at about 3:45 to put some stuff in the mail, and the human resources person pulled me into her office. They have a marketing position open, and she thought it was something I might be interested in. They're looking for someone who is strong in writing (which I'm pretty good at, the casual online writing here notwithstanding) and had asked me earlier what degree I had and what I was working on (Associate's in Technical Writing and Bachelor's in Electronic Marketing and Publishing, respectively). First, I was flattered that she thought to mention this position to me a day before it is posted for everyone else to see, and second, I am so interested! Well, I'll have to see what the job description is, and if it sounds like it would suit me, of course. Still, if it does, I'll definitely apply. I love the job that I have (compared to the job I had before, it's fantastic, believe me), but it doesn't pay the best, and I have a ton of bills. And it seems like the new job would have to pay a lot more.

Anyway, it's something to think about, and believe me, I'll be looking at that job description tomorrow for sure.
