A Christmas Weather Rhyme

Twas the week before Christmas
And all through the air
Not a snowflake was stirring,
And I didn’t care

A green Christmas for me
Is the best way to go
Because traveling to others’ houses
That day is what I know

Living where I do
White Christmases are the norm
So I don’t expect the grass to be greening
On that cold December morn

I think I’d like to live
Where snow is never known
But then I think how I’d miss seeing
The flakes all windblown

So I have to accept
The snow when it comes
‘Cause my options are limited
Unless maybe I drink lots of rum

This year I hope
To continue this December thaw
But if the air turns cold
And flakes fall, I’ll open my maw

Eating snowflakes
Is a part of the season
Although you probably shouldn’t anymore
Pollution being the main reason

Anyway, If I really cared
About the snow coming near
I guess I wouldn’t live
In the cold climate we have here

So when it snows I put on my gloves
And I shrug into my coat
And I drag out the shovel
And think of leaving a note

And that note would say
To all who made it through
Careful on the walk, it’s slippery
And Happy Holidays to you!

I got tagged too. I decided Deals is kinda mean. :D KIDDING! But I dont know if I know six people to tag back?! Anyway, I like your poem! Did you write it yourself?

Ha, I decided I can tag you too. :p But it kind of doesn't matter, since you've already been tagged, and you can just blame Deals twice. :)

You are a poet and don't even know it. Lame comment I know but hey the poem is real good, sums up my feelings as well.

Of course I wrote it myself! I was feeling creative this morning. And hey, if you can tag me even though I had already been tagged, does that mean I can tag you too? :P
