Ham Overload

Today was such a very low key day. I really haven't done anything useful all day. I've played the Sims again for the first time in weeks, I've watched TV (there's really nothing worth watching on daytime TV, is there? With the exception of GH, of course, which I save for the weekend), I've read my book, I've watched a couple of movies - see? Nothing of any value. I've also been bored out of my mind for a good chunk of the day, which sucks. I've got to find a better way to keep myself entertained, because I have six more days off before I have to go back to work.

I also cut up the little ham that I got from work and had a slice of it for dinner, along with too many potatoes that I didn't mash very well and a couple of Grands biscuits. I have two plates of ham leftover in the refrigerator now, so I think most of it will be going into the freezer for a while. I will probably make scalloped potatoes with some of it, though.

So I don't think I wrote in here about getting a $100 Amazon.com gift certificate from my friend Sally. She sent it to me before Christmas, but I didn't use it because I wanted to wait to see what I got from my sister's family. Well, I used it after Christmas to order a pair of roller skates and a pair of sneakers. Yay! I can't believe I spent over half of that gift certificate on roller skates, but I just had so much fun ice skating on Saturday, and it really reminded me of how much fun skating is. And suddenly I really wanted to purchase a pair of roller skates, so now as soon as they come in the mail, I'll have a pair. Now I just have to find someplace to skate other than in my own house. There aren't any roller rinks around here, but I might be able to work out someplace to skate at work. We'll see. Anyway, I can't wait to get them.

Okay, I think I'm going to go back to watching When Harry Met Sally. Have a great night!
