Update, and news

I just wanted to update after my final exam. It was so easy! I'm glad I didn't stress too much about it. It was 155 multiple choice questions and an essay, and only took about an hour. Not bad in my book. And that's one more class under my belt. Now I have a final presentation on Wednesday, and then I'm done for the semester. Yay! I'm going to love the 5 1/2 week break.

Also, I talked to my sister earlier, when she called about going to a movie, and she told me that the bank in town (it's a very small town, with only one bank) had some corporate people come in and fire the two managers in the branch, with no warning at all. And then, the part that I thought was absolutely great, the tellers walked out, losing their jobs, and a lot of the community pulled their accounts out of the bank in support of the managers. I think that's so incredible - you don't really think of people today being supportive of their fellow people, but they really were this time. Good for them! And one of the managers was a woman I used to work with, back when I worked at a different branch of the bank in 1994 - 1995. We were both tellers at the time. I got out when I did because they were starting to charge people to go to tellers, and were pushing sales very hard on their tellers, and I am not a salesperson. And they really just gave the impression even back then of being a corporation that was more concerned with their bottom line than they would ever be about their customers or staff. It looks like I was right.

And I hope all of the people at the bank find better jobs quickly. They all deserve them.
